What’s your stage name and where are you from?

My name is Afro Selassie and I come from Port Harcourt, south -south Nigeria

What’s the story behind your stage name?

It traces directly to our culture and I mean the Afrocentric culture in hip hop. Afro means someone from Africa and Selassie means God. I always carried an afro since 2017.

Describe your musical journey in three sentences.

Ahh yes! I have being waiting for this one. It all started back in 2017 after the release of Gucci Mane. I developed something for rap music fueled by pan african views. Till this day am still much in love with conscious rap

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.

That would be one 4 me, I tell you this: One 4 me started like a freestyle. We played Rihanna’s song with future “Lovee Song” and then I told Playtunez to make somthing similar and that was it. I looked at the people in the room and imagined being in love😊

What message do you want to convey through your music?

Consciousness, love and everything about liberal freedom

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.

That would be getting my last song complete. Lately writing has being a problem .

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

The Game, Because Game is real OG, were like the type of rappers that talk real life. Real recognizes real so I know what I mean when I say Game. Its going to bar for bar with game on a song🔥
