AshMoneyMusic, from Brooklyn, NYC, living in Florida.
What’s the story behind your stage name?
It was A$H with a dollar sign, not an S, but I decided to make it AshMoneyMusic because it’s easier to separate my music from the masses.
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
Always knowing I was gifted by God to worship and growing up in the church was always at my core. I started songwriting and recording demos until I figured I could do this. Now, my music is here to inspire the minds and spirits of those who listen.
Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
My latest track, I flew to Atlanta by myself and met 32Cold. We recorded “Dear Lord” in our first-ever session.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
We are all human, and we need God’s love.
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
Finding my “sound” can force me to be a self-saboteur of my own music. So, I am learning not to overthink the track and let it go out and bless those it’s intended to bless.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
Right now, it would be UpnowMar because his wordplay and raps are SO GOOD, it’s indescribable. Yolanda Adams has always been an icon I look up to, so that would be cool too.
Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
I want to get back to my live performances and bring my sound into new atmospheres.
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
I would love to have my music featured on a TV show production or movie.
