What’s your stage name and where are you from?

I have had four projects I have released music under but my stage name has always been Cody B

What’s the story behind your stage name?

My last name is Basque and most people cannot pronounce my name correctly so , everyone from my teachers , friends , and business have always referred to me as “ Cody B “ . I only had a few nick names growing up so when I got into “ Hip-hop “ I wanted to take a name the world had given me rather than one I came up with myself .

Describe your musical journey in three sentences.

HIP-HOP IS HELL ( TM )

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.

As I’ve grown older most of my friends have either died , betrayed , or out grown me and I have become isolated in my life . So , the last track I made was accompanied by a self shot , edited , and produced track / music video I made of myself while getting drunk in the mountains camping .

What message do you want to convey through your music?

I want people to know that while clustered into the same reality we have power and can accomplish anything we want to.

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.

Well, one challenge I faced after taking a Hiatus was finding producers to work with for my beats . I couldn’t find anyone who could inspire me exclusively so I took up the art of production myself .

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

I think of the creator of our universe as an artist . So , if I could collaborate with anyone it would definitely be infinite intelligence.

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?

I can see my musics popularity growing this year and I can see myself making new friends because I plan to get back into the swing of things this year .

What’s the next big step for you as an artist?

I think the next big step for me is either , getting better at production as a whole both musically and visually and or forming a solid band .
