What’s your stage name and where are you from?

I’m Grim Littlez and I was born in NY, but raised in Florida!

What’s the story behind your stage name?

Grim stands for Grit, Rhythm, Impact, Mastery and “life is grim” which is essentially a major theme of mine.

Grit – Need grit to survive and that’s what I have.
Rhythm – I wanna always good music telling my story
Impact – Making an impact is my mission
Mastery – Mastering my craft is a must

“Littlez” was simply thought of. 🙂

Describe your musical journey in three sentences.

I want to be the voice for the voiceless; to inspire others to shoot for the stars. And provide a sense of relief from the every day world.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.

I wrote an entirely different song to the beat and then had a realization that it wasn’t the direction I wanted to take it. I absorbed the beat some more and wrote an entirely different track which is what I ended up releasing. I take the craft seriously and am always working to make the best possible song I can create. I do appreciate the process.

What message do you want to convey through your music?

That life is a struggle, it’s grim, it ain’t always easy, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.

Sometimes you gotta try out different deliveries, flows, cadences to really hone in on the one that works best for you and that particular beat. I’m always prepared when I hit the studio, but sometimes you gotta switch it up.

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

Eminem was the one who got me into the art, but as of right now…I think J-Cole and I would create magic. Boy would we…

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?

Opening up more opportunity to share my story and continue to work on my craft. If I’m lucky maybe another goal reached. 🙂

What’s the next big step for you as an artist?

Gain some fans; that’s important haha. Continue to drop good music and hopefully continue to develop a loyal fan base that wants to come with me on this journey.
