Lanzen: Nune, thank you for joining us. Can you share the origin of your stage name, “Mr. Propane”?

Nune: Absolutely. “Mr. Propane” originated from one of my early records titled “Mr. Propane Man,” which gained popularity in my neighborhood. Whenever I arrived, people would call out “Mr. Propane,” and the name just stuck. “Nune” has always been a family nickname, so I combined the two and have been running with it ever since.

Lanzen: Your journey into music seems to have been driven by a strong sense of passion and purpose. Can you elaborate on the evolution of your artistic journey, from initial impulse to finding your unique sound?

Nune: It all began with a desire to express my thoughts freely, which gradually evolved into writing music. As I immersed myself in the creative process, music became a passion that I couldn’t ignore. Eventually, I reached a moment of clarity where I fully embraced my gift and discovered my authentic sound, allowing my soul to speak through my music.

Lanzen: Your track “My Empire” has garnered international attention, particularly from dancers around the world. Can you describe the experience of witnessing your music resonate with diverse audiences, especially with notable features like Gucci Mane?

Nune: It’s been incredibly rewarding to see dancers from different cultures connect with “My Empire” and express their energy through dance. Collaborating with artists like Gucci Mane has undoubtedly broadened the appeal of the track, given his established fan base. Witnessing the passion and enthusiasm of fans as they dance to my music is truly engaging and fulfilling.

Lanzen: Your artistic vision is deeply rooted in uplifting others and bringing positive energy to the forefront. Can you share more about the influences and aspirations driving your music, particularly in comparison to artists like Dee-1?

Nune: My goal as an artist is to uplift and inspire listeners with the essence of pure hip-hop, incorporating deep and meaningful lyrics that resonate on both physical and spiritual levels. Artists like Dee-1, who prioritize authenticity and meaningful content, serve as inspirations for me. I aim to follow a similar path, dedicated to my craft and unapologetically authentic in my expression.

Lanzen: Alongside the triumphs, navigating the music industry comes with its challenges. What are some obstacles you’ve faced, and how do you overcome them?

Nune: One of the challenges is discerning genuine support from opportunistic motives. It’s crucial to trust your instincts and recognize when someone may not have your best interests at heart. Whether it’s navigating deals or avoiding scams, maintaining clarity and intuition is key to overcoming such obstacles.

Lanzen: Your dream collaboration involves sharing creative energy with J. Cole. What about his message and delivery resonates with you, and how do you envision collaborating with him pushing you to the next level?

Nune: J. Cole’s mastery of message and delivery is unparalleled. Collaborating with him would be an opportunity to share in that energy creatively and elevate my craft to new heights. Having already collaborated with my biggest influence, K-Rino, I know the transformative power of working with artists who inspire and challenge me.

Lanzen: Looking ahead, what are your aspirations for the future of your music career?

Nune: By next year, I envision reaching new heights in my career, including charting on the Billboard 100, attending the Grammy Awards either as a guest or nominee, and gaining greater recognition as an artist. With Iconic Worldwide Entertainment Group, we’re focusing on promotion and touring across various cities to showcase our talent on a larger scale.
