What’s your stage name and where are you from?
RALLY, I live in South Florida
What’s the story behind your stage name?
I really just came up with it randomly. It started as a word for a tattoo and eventually became ended up being the perfect word to describe myself really. I wanna inspire people, RALLY really takes on a lot of meanings when it comes to that.
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
I grew up always loving music, creating playlists of songs and pretending they were my own albums. I always felt I had great taste, but for some reason I never even considered the fact I could do it myself until I was around 18-19 and I started recording verses on random beats with my friends. I fully committed to it my sophomore year of college in 2023 and here we are now, this is my passion and the more I’ve learned about myself the more I realize it always has been.
Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
I make beats all the time, random energy I feel from God or sounds I hear in the world inspire me. The last interesting thing I can think of is when my DAW crashed and the Kick drum turned into a beeping sound. I really liked how it sounded so I kept it. Never really knowing what you’re doing is the key to making something great in my opinion.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
Believe in your abilities. Let go of your ego. Tap into the music and energy that’s already there surrounding rather than believing you’re the one who’s creating it. Art is unexplainable for real.
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
Mixing and mastering is always what bothers me most, mixing most of my own tracks rather than having access to industry-grade professionals all the time. I’ve gotten to a point where I know how to make my ideas shine tho. None of it is really a challenge just something you have to do.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
I really like Julian Casablancas. Isaiah Rashad maybe. Who knows. I think I could work with a lot of people. I feel I’m a producer first who focuses on vocals after so maybe Daft Punk or someone like that.
Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
To the moon
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
Release my music in a more palatable and promotable form. Singles coming soon.
Where can we hear/watch your most recent work?
