Love Ghost is a very unique and energetic band that has been making quite a stir in the music industry, from the mainstream to the underground scene. Their music is slightly influenced by Seattle tradition, but it also has a bit of the sound cloud era-boldness, and flair that we were used to running rampant a few years back, but Love Ghost keeps it as a forefront in a lot of the themes that they portray to their listeners. Along with this image and persona, they carry an arsenal of highly electric shows and performances, making every chance to catch them a fun event.

With their latest single “Human Error 404”, it serves as a haunting song that really explores a lot of different themes, centered around alienation, loneliness , and not really feeling like you’re fitting in to the social norms or circles that we see around us.
The song does open with the eerie guitar rift in some of the real vocals from Finnegan himself in the lyrics although they are poetic paint, a dreary picture of a world where people are increasingly isolated and disconnected from one another severing ties and webs were once were so full and true connections.
Ritarukai’s collaboration on human error, 404 adds another layer of depth and dimension to the song with his unique emo sound blending in almost perfectly with Finnegans alternative sound creates a haunting and beautiful experience as the vocals together blend into a sense of urgency and desperation that explores the darker side of alienation he also helps to paint both beautiful and the haunting images to the listener so that once they’re done listening, they can understand that there is a ray of sunlight after all.
“Donde yo quiero estar, tú no puedes llegar,” Bell sings in the first verse. “Dentro de mi cabeza solo existe ansiedad / Pero tampoco estás tú aunque te intento buscar.” (Where I want to be, you can’t get there / Inside my head there is only anxiety / But you’re not there either, even though I try to find you.)
The song builds to a crescendo in the chorus, where Bell’s vocals soar over the top of the music.
“While I’m floating / Watching the sky turn red / I want to find the place where / I can be in my head,” he sings.
Diving into the production of human error 404 we find such a complex assortment of instruments and melodies blended so well together that it all becomes a seamless tapestry of a unique sound experience.
The song becomes both wonderful and scary at the same time as it serves as a testament to Love Ghost’s unique sound, and artistry the feeling of alienation, or somebody alone is something that a lot of people can relate with, especially after going through all of the pandemic woes and gnarly vibes. Remember when we were always bombarded with images of people who seem to have a perfect life?
They have everything they need and no problems at all- but with “Human Error 404” this here is a reminder that everybody is really human and it’s OK if we all make mistakes, we all have our own unique quirks and issues, but it doesn’t mean that we are bad people and we all deserve happiness.
The chorus of this song is particularly powerful as it works to drive this point home. The fact that we are all imperfect. We all still deserve the basic experiences to have a happy and meaningful life.
“Human Error 404” is a great example of alternative rock in a similar, but tangential lane as Lincoln Park, or System of a Down. The song combines the emo influences of Ritorukai of Mexico with the signature style of Love Ghost hailing from Los Angeles for a truly unique vibe.
Love Ghost is currently promoting the song in close collaboration with Canal_MX in Mexico, with a heavy focus on rock-absed radio in Mexico City, where 15 to 20 media outlets will support and broadcast the release. Additionally, they will run and manage several advertising campaigns across social media. Love Ghost is also lucky to have an actual street marketing team in Mexico City!!
Finnegan Bell of Love Ghost is currently in Mexico writing and recording as we speak, collaborating with many Latin artists, including Dan Garcia, Ritorukai, Go Golden Junk, Phyzh Eye, Jozue, Young Dupe, Blnko, and many others.
We are excited to hear what comes next from this band!
