What’s your stage name and where are you from?

Plush Sanches, I’m from Atlanta, Ga.

What’s the story behind your stage name?

Originally my journey began as a producer and beat maker. DJ Plush was the first stage name I began with. The meaning behind Plush was good quality, so essentially it was, quality dj. Once I began recording vocals and performing, I took the stage name Plush Sanches. The story behind the Sanches part came from a group of friends that were from Spanish background began calling me Sanchez, because they would say I work hard like one of the Amigos, birthing Plush Sanchez. My mother’s father is of Nigerian descent leading to adding the “es”, creating Plush Sanches.

Describe your musical journey in three sentences.

Throughout this journey there have been a lot of eye openers for me, showing more avenues and paths. It has taught me patience. I have learned the true meaning of persistence.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.

I connected with a producer recently https://www.instagram.com/amir_sl616?igsh=MWRtdzdma2Q2ZnZ4cA== and Amir has been helping me move into the Rap Rock genre of music.

What message do you want to convey through your music?

I want my music to help motivate others to feel a sort of peace even if only momentarily, and help inspire them to not give up. Stop getting in your own way!

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.

During production there was a flood from heavy rains, and we almost thought it’d take forever to be fixed. Amir is currently in Ukraine creating beats actively during the chaos. Our communication could be limited at times.

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

Juicy jay and Project Pat. I’ve always loved the vibe, authenticity, and message.

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?

I see myself touring performing at live events.

What’s the next big step for you as an artist?

The next big step would be getting booked for concerts, shows, sync placements, in store radio play, state radio partnerships, and anything that the music industry has to offer that would help my career of promoting the message of quality music.
