Kid Static burst onto the Chicago hip-hop scene with a fusion of rap and layered electronic textures reminiscent of classic synthesizers. His music combines witty lyrics with dark rolling basslines and drum patterns, creating a unique sound that bridges the gap between rap and electronica. Known for his deconstruction of everyday humor and themes of love, loss, and optimism, Kid Static brings a fresh perspective to the music industry.
“A.B.O.” is a hard-hitting anthem expressing dissatisfaction with the current state of the music industry. Far from a song of hate, it reflects a desire for growth and improvement in a beloved art form. Kid Static’s slick cadence cuts through the hard-driving bassline as he calls out issues ranging from homogenized rap styles to the influence of major labels. The track serves as a bold statement, challenging the status quo while showcasing Kid Static’s lyrical prowess.

Chicago massive stand up!
A.B O. is kid static reborn. He goes hard and demonstrates lyrical and musical maturity that makes so exvited fo his future. In the early 2000’s we followed him as he blended genres, always spitting intelligent rhymes and avoiding the repetition so common for other artists. He’s honed his art over the years. Welcome back… “Open up your mental” and get down with kid ststic.
What a joy to hear music with a message. I look forward to supporting your ambition.
Thanks for the words on A.B.O., you gave me a reason to listen and I thought your comments were on point. The sounds, the energy, and the intention of the rap are current and hip in the “HOP” of the genre.
Right ON!
Love the energy and lyrics. Can’t wait to hear more!
Definitely another artist form the CHI people need to know and industry executives beware someone better sign talent to a deal before it too late great flow !!!
Looking forward on what else you got for the people to know
I’m so relieved to hear increasingly more RAP actually SAYING something that we NEED to hear and think about. It had me leaning into the rhythms, feeling the harmony and being lifted instead of feeling put down and let down when I know we can do better. Definitely something foul in an industry that thrives on frequent profanity, ensuring that we lose our sanity. Don’t let your dignity be sold. Peace.
