What’s your stage name and where are you from?

DA REAL3ST & IM FROM SOUTH LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM

What’s the story behind your stage name?

I didn’t just pick the name Da Real3st because it sounded cool — it’s who I am. Before this, I was going by RMP — RealestMusicPlayed because from the start, I’ve always been about keeping it 100 in my music. No filters, no faking it, just truth. But after my mom passed in 2019, everything changed. That pain, that loss it made me reevaluate everything.
I stepped away from music for a while… and when I came back, I knew I couldn’t just go back to who I was before. I had to level up — mentally, emotionally, spiritually. That’s when Da Real3st was born. The name represents the realest version of me. The “3” isn’t just for style, it marks a new chapter. A shift. A reminder that I’m not here to fit in, I’m here to speak truth, to represent the struggle, and to stay grounded no matter what.
When you hear Da Real3st, you’re not just hearing music. You’re hearing my story, my scars, and my soul. I live this…. I don’t just rap it.

Describe your musical journey in three sentences.

My musical journey started as a way to cope, a way to process life, loss, and everything in between. After losing my mom in 2019, music became more than therapy; it became my purpose. Now, as Da Real3st, I use every track to tell my truth and give a voice to those who feel unheard.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.

While creating “Push It,” I locked myself in the studio for hours, zoning out everything around me, no phone, no distractions, just me and the beat. Midway through recording, the power went out, but instead of killing the vibe, it made the moment even more raw, I finished writing the hook by flashlight, feeling every word hit deeper. That energy, that pressure, is exactly what the song’s about: pushing through, even when everything around you tries to stop you

What message do you want to convey through your music?

Through my music, I want to show people that it’s okay to feel pain, to struggle, and to fight through the darkness, but never to give up. I speak for the unheard, the overlooked, and the ones going through real-life battles with no spotlight on them. My message is simple: stay true, stay real, and no matter what you’re facing, keep pushing

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.

One of the biggest challenges I faced during production was staying focused while dealing with personal stress and loss. There were days when the weight of everything made it hard to even step in the booth. But instead of letting it shut me down, I used the pain as fuel, I turned that emotion into lyrics, and it made the music more real. Every struggle became part of the sound.

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

ANDRE 3000 He knows how to create something which can’t be duplicated I want that key!

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?

In the next year, I see my music reaching way more people, not just locally, but globally. I want to touch new audiences, perform on bigger stages, and keep building a real, loyal fanbase that connects with my message. This next chapter is all about elevation and impact.

What’s the next big step for you as an artist?

Potentially the next big step for me is dropping a full project that really tells my story start to finish. I’m talking about something solid, with visuals, performances, and collaborations that level me up and put Da Real3st on the map in a major way. It’s time to take everything I’ve been through and turn it into something unforgettable.
