What’s the story behind your stage name?

I wanted a simple yet recognizable artist name that represented me as a solo male artist.

Describe your musical journey in three sentences.

I started playing guitar and singing in high school and instantly fell in love. By the time I entered college, I was given the opportunity to create my own tracks as “Joey P.” I plan on releasing music until I’m performing on stages worldwide.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.

I filmed the visual for Amative (Alternate Mix) on a frozen beach during Chicago winter.

What message do you want to convey through your music?

It’s possible. Everything that you want in life can be achieved through hard work and belief.

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.

During the Amative visual shoot it was so cold our cameras froze and malfunctioned. We ended up using footage from two cameras and an iPhone due to the technical difficulties.

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

Eddie Vedder, the lead singer of Pearl Jam. He inspired me to start singing, the way he conveys emotion in his voice is incredible.

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?

I want to reach at least 100K people in 2025 across all major streaming platforms.

What’s the next big step for you as an artist?

Creating merch and assisting in the establishment of my friend Mia’s art collective “Sonder”.
