Crock Taylor. South Jamaica Queens, NYC

Tough exterior, like crocodile skin
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
Sticking to doing what I know how to do best, writing reality rap. Focused on making music that lets listeners know about my personal life. No gimmicks, fairy tales or shortcuts, 100% ME.
Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
Went to the lab with only the beat for the track, ended up having an experimental moment & made a song that doesn’t sound like a lot of the others I’ve done. And it’s FIRE!!!
What message do you want to convey through your music?
It’s ok to be YOURSELF! In life, whether music, work, school, social life. Don’t try and be something you’re not. Everything I put in any song, is me.
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
Multiple times songs have been lost (corrupted) or deleted from studio computers. Honestly I doubt anything can stop me from putting out music, so overcoming it was just me getting back in the booth & doing entire songs over again.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
Collab with any artist? Thats still living? Probably Madlib, or Knxwledge. I’m not a producer at all, but just being a student of Hip-hop, I over appreciate the role that producers play in the genre. I’d definitely rather collab with a producer than a rapper.
Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
To being mentioned among some of the biggest names in the reemergence of real Hip-hop. Roc Marciano, Mach Hommy, Griselda, Ransom, Alchemist, etc.
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
Keep dropping projects & put out more videos! Networking A LOT more for sure.
Where can we hear/watch your most recent work?
All streaming platforms! Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, Youtube, etc.
