12

What’s your stage name and where are you from?
My name’s King Kaiju, and I’m from Southeast Virginia!

What’s the story behind your stage name?
I needed a name, and since I love 90s anime and feel like a monster at this music stuff, I went with King Kaiju.

Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
I’ve always made music. I started rapping. I love it so much.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
A lot of times, I’ll come up with rhymes while riding bikes with friends. It’s a crazy feeling to rap about my experiences and see others connect with my lyrics.

What message do you want to convey through your music?
Music should be about self-expression, not fitting into a mold. Just be yourself.

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
I overthink things sometimes and doubt if people will relate to my everyday experiences. Then I remember, it’s good to hear that others understand what you’re going through.

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
I’d collaborate with Lil Ugly Mane, Wiki, and Earl Sweatshirt. They’re all creative and inspired me to put my feelings into my music.

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
Wherever the music leads. The people who support it will show me the way.

What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
I’m working on more physical merch like shirts and stickers. I want to keep supporting my fans through tangible items.

We occasionally feature artists on our Bird of Paradise Podcast for in-depth discussions. Would this be something you’re interested in exploring?
Yes!

Are there any other promotional opportunities you’re looking for to boost your visibility?
I’m open to a lot, depending on the price.

Where can we hear/watch your most recent work?
All streaming platforms: Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, etc.
