What’s the story behind your stage name?
Being that I’m a Christian Hip-Hop artist, I wanted to be the connection between God and Hip-Hop. So my stage name sounds like ‘connect’, but its just stylized differently.
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
My music journey started at my home church, and it has been filled with many challenges and obstacles. From life threatening hospitalization to family issues, I have found a way to turn my trauma into music to glorify God.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
My latest single “Never Letting Go” was inspired by the negative reviews that my music has received over the years. I decided to make to song to remind myself of the reason I make music in the first place.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
I want my music to serve as inspiration to listeners to go after their dreams and to rely on God to lead the way.
Behind the Music
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
One of my biggest challenges during the production of my most recent song was getting the mix right. I do my own mixing and mastering, but I just couldn’t get this one right. It took me having to leave the song alone for a month to try it again with fresh ears. Thankfully, that was all I needed.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
There’s so many artist that I would love to collaborate with, but if I had to pick one artist it would definitely have to be KB.
Future Aspirations
Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
I see my music taking me to a place where I can inspire an even greater audience. God gave me this purpose and I intend to live it to the fullest.
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
Well, I’m currently working on my sophomore album, but I think the next big step for me is to perform at Flavor Fest or similar venues.
