E&J Return with “The Vibe,” Lead Single from Upcoming Fifth Album
Boise, Idaho-based emcee/producer duo Eleven and Jason D (aka E&J) are picking up where they left off with “The Vibe,” the lead single from their upcoming fifth album, “Plead The 5th,” due early next year. Rooted in the golden-era sounds of ’80s and ’90s boom bap, E&J bring together Eleven’s sharp MC skills and DJ Jason D’s production and cuts, delivering authentic underground Hip Hop with a Pacific Northwest edge.
The 95 BPM head-nodder marks the duo’s first recording since their 2022 release, “Carefully Crafted” and opens with Eleven declaring, “We’re here to pick up where we left off.” Staying true to the classic ’90s 12-inch single format, “The Vibe” features Jason D’s original album version on the A-side and a fresh remix from underground heavyweight Tone Spliff on the B-side.
With additional remixes from respected underground names including Castle Money Beats, DJ Proof and Los Angeles-based DJ Mike C planned for the upcoming single series, E&J are bringing a timeless approach to a new chapter. Flip the record, feel the vibe, and stay tuned for Plead The 5th.
