Mic North, also known as Nigel Pahl, hails from Winnipeg, MB, Canada, a city known as the Murder Capital of Canada from 1981 to 2012. His journey into the world of rap began at the age of 14 when his mother, Cheryl Pahl, bought him a Karaoke machine. Despite initial skepticism, Mic North’s passion for rap flourished. His teenage years were marked by misguidance, leading him to street violence and eventually incarceration. However, Mic North emerged from this dark period with a renewed determination to change his life for the sake of his newborn son.
After his release, Mic North delved into music, signing with the local record label Heatbag Records in 2011. Over the years, he has collaborated with notable talents such as Peter Jackson, Young Noble, Twisted Insane, and more. Mic North’s journey hasn’t just been about personal success; he founded Motivation Art Programs (MAPs) in 2016, aiming to inspire youth across Canada through digital media production.
