Going by the name GMG, the London-based group is a one-man band powered by a producer and multi-instrumentalist who embodies the oppressive air of London. The project was founded in London and Birmingham and operates as a curated collection of noise in the city, and is a mix of beat maker and sample hunter. Although it is now a one-man project, it is intended to eventually become a group in which musicians and visual artists come together to record the burden of the contemporary lifestyle.
The streets do not offer anything free and you need to steal the textures you can and use them as the weapon. The next release by GMG is the gritty survival that is going to be released as JETpack (PUSH on). Released prior to the entire project DARK FOREST CONSPIRACY, on December 15th, the song has abandoned the typical rap loops and is rather falling into a fractured collage format. It is the music of the man who has just strolled through London at 2:00 AM, and who has just experienced this “concrete nausea” caused by the city that never ceases to demand more out of your soul.
