Born David Polanco in 1993, Subway Rat hails from Queens, NYC. Following a challenging breakup and a late diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 1, he found solace in music. Collaborating with indie guitarist and producer Paco Lee, Subway Rat’s raspy voice, aggressive delivery, and romantic storytelling blend NYC legends’ essence like The Strokes, Talking Heads, and 50 Cent. His debut album’s success paved the way for singles like “Outta Town,” “Hope,” and “Moon,” propelling Subway Rat’s unique sound across the globe.
