Born in a refugee camp in Thailand from a family of Ka-ren descent, Star2 is a dynamic artist. He later moved to San Diego via a music lottery and came to sing as a way to work through some early trauma. He has received widespread acclaim for his documentary Return to Kawthoolei. He has often worked with industry giants such as Soulja Boy and Mozzy as well as supporting other Asian artists and creators who are from refugee backgrounds.
