Between a sugar rush, a late night binge of anime, and a bassline that’s not giving a break, Lexa Terrestrial is creating a universe all of her own. The track is cute and alien. Hip-hop that’s crossed is the experience.
“UR TOY” takes inspiration from K-pop, hyperpop, EDM, drum and bass, kawaii pop and rap, and fuses them all into a blender that seems to be unimpressed by the traditional hip-hop formula. It’s a fun, vibrant and intentionally bizarre idea. But in the underground world where it’s not enough to just, well, rap, Lexa knows the power of having an identity that you can identify before the beat even drops.
