When was the last time you let an artist show you the world without asking them to explain every damn thing first?

Baton Rouge MC nebula. is linking with producer mayre for Through My Lens, a collaborative LP now available on SoundCloud and Bandcamp. And even before the conversation gets into the music itself, that title opens a door worth walking through: perspective, personal truth, and the complicated business of being seen on your own terms.

There’s something refreshing about a project built around a simple premise. Not the industry’s obsession with turning every release into a grand statement. Not another manufactured origin story. Just an artist, a producer, and a shared body of work carrying a name that puts perspective front and center.

The Baton Rouge connection matters, too. Louisiana’s capital has its own place in Southern hip-hop’s larger conversation, and artists coming out of regional scenes don’t need to imitate the loudest voices in the room to deserve attention. Sometimes the most interesting move is simply making music from where you stand and letting the listener do the work of meeting you there.
