After more than a decade away from the public eye, Al Fresco makes his official return with Daddy’s Home — a powerful and personal reintroduction to the rap game. Though he never stopped writing or recording, this marks his first official release, both musically and visually. The title isn’t just a statement — it’s a declaration: he’s back where he belongs.
Having spent years on the sidelines, watching the culture evolve, Fresco questioned whether there was still a lane for his voice. That all changed once he stepped into the studio with longtime collaborator Charlie Beatz. The spark was reignited, and from it came a project rooted in passion, hunger, and perspective.
Entirely produced by Dusty Baker, the album is rooted in fate and organic connection. Al Fresco and Dusty originally crossed paths in a work setting, having countless conversations — none of which were ever about music. Al knew of Dusty’s beats and was a fan, but had no idea the man he was speaking to was that Dusty Baker — the producer who’d never shown his face online. What he also didn’t know? Dusty and Charlie Beatz were already connected.
After seeing a video of Al and Charlie together, Dusty reached out with a moment of realization: “Wait, I know that guy.” Shortly after, he and Charlie surprised Al at Dusty’s show Bakeover Radio — and the rest is history.
Daddy’s Home is more than an album. It’s a statement of purpose, a reunion with craft, and the beginning of a new chapter born from timing, talent, and trust.
