What’s your stage name and where are you from?
My stage name is Amanarii, and I am from the United Kingdom.
What’s the story behind your stage name?
It was a random nickname that came out of nowhere when playing online games, and I just picked it as a stage name.
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
It’s been a steady and positive progression in terms of building a network with like-minded artists, connecting with different communities, and building a fanbase. It started off alone by myself in my bedroom, to now sharing a studio with great people, making music. It’s currently an enjoyable journey and will continue to be so.
Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
I mixed and mastered the track myself, and I think it was an interesting experience because I have a lack of experience in the engineering side of music, so it added a cool dynamic to my music journey.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
The main message behind all of my songs is for one to embrace themselves as they are and strive for delivering positivity. I try to convey this through making music about my own experiences in life, talking about problems, solutions, and other elements from day-to-day living, which may help me embrace myself or provide a setback in striving for positivity.
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
Writer’s block. We all experience it. I overcame it by calming my mind down and really observing my thoughts so that I could deliver my lyrics how I would want to.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
Jomo Kays. He’s an incredibly talented artist and one of my favorites. I would definitely choose to collaborate with him because he would give my tracks a unique vibe. His lyrics are always so relatable and resonate with a lot of people, so he would amplify the meaningfulness of any track and help boost the qualities of any artist to a wider fanbase.
Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
I see my music taking me to more platforms, such as blogs, playlists, live shows, and potentially radio play.
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
The next big step for me is to perform more regularly than I have been doing.
We occasionally feature artists on our Bird of Paradise Podcast for in-depth discussions. Would this be something you’re interested in exploring?
Yes, this would be something that I’m interested in exploring.
Are there any other promotional opportunities you’re looking for to boost your visibility?
I’m looking to partner with influencers within my niche and present myself in front of a broad and more targeted audience.
