What happens when heavy drums, a deep bassline, and a little saxophone give underground hip-hop a reason to look up?
Yardin Beats x Azer Beats are chasing that altitude on “High Fly,” an instrumental released October 21, 2026, that brings the focus back to the ingredients beat heads have been riding with for decades: hard drums, soulful keys, and a groove that leaves room for an MC to make the record their own.
The production is built around a classic boom bap foundation. The drums bring the knock, the bass gives the beat its weight, and the piano melodies add a smoother layer to the mix. Then comes the saxophone, bringing a soulful touch that gives the instrumental another color to work with. It’s a combination rooted in hip-hop tradition, where the beat does the heavy lifting without needing to crowd every available inch of space.
