What happens when the urge to get even meets the decision to get better?
“Pull Up,” the first preview of Von off North Ave’s upcoming EP 38th, starts with a feeling plenty of people know: anger that needs somewhere to go. The difference is what happens after that feeling hits the page. Instead of letting a personal conflict dictate the entire direction, Von takes the energy behind it and starts reshaping the message.
The result is a record positioned somewhere between confrontation and self-determination, with producer Juno Adonis helping set the tone.
