What’s your stage name and where are you from?

Brewed Up Joe from Fort Worth, Texas

What’s the story behind your stage name?

I’m a big craft beer enthusiast and I just combined it with my actual name to keep it authentic.

Describe your musical journey in three sentences.

I fell in love with hip-hop in my teenage years through just having fun with my friends. Progressed drastically through dropping hours of material and doing live shows. Now I’m an award winning artist with so much more to prove and for you to witness.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.

I was watching Japanese anime and an intense fighting scene was happening and it just told me to be raw and unapologetic on this one track.

What message do you want to convey through your music?

That you can be yourself and still be cool.

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.

Writers block is always a pain but it’s just a sign to take a step back, go experience something then come back around.

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

I would choose Blu from Los Angeles. Definitely a true inspiration.

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?

To a bigger stage with a bigger bag. Cha-Ching!

What’s the next big step for you as an artist?

Working on a couple projects and features. Pretty much gotta keep the content coming.
