One Who May Ascend – Originally from Texas, currently residing in Los Angeles, California.
What’s the story behind your stage name?
A friend in college called me “One Who May Ascend” because of my rapping skills. He said that I would ascend into the heavens.
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
My musical journey started with a commitment to authenticity despite facing hardships and unconventional paths. Through struggles and perseverance, I refined my craft and remained true to my artistic vision. Now, I’m focusing on expanding my audience through live performances and strategic marketing.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
“Litty’ is my latest track. People say like they’re like lit, litty, the connotation associated with that is maybe like drugs or drinking. I don’t do none of that, no drugs or alcohol or nothing like, no artificial stimulants or anti-depressants or whatever. But if that’s you, do you, it is what you do best, that’s just not how I live my life. I’ve been a practitioner of martial arts and it’s been a significant influence on my life for a long time. One of the essential principles that we learned in class is to stay alert at all times. Again this song is very reflective of that. So while we might not be necessarily on chemicals or any artificial supplements, I’m just inundated and intoxicated by life. Life itself is stimulating.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
With intricate lyrical content and concepts that can only be explained by some level of divine intervention, One Who May Ascend (OMA) is a cosmic entity and warrior-poet fighting for universal consciousness engaged in an eternal campaign against all varieties of ignorance in pursuit of his true potential and fully realized self… Finding sanction in a new world of creativity, One Who May Ascend’s music harbors the same essential principles instilled in him at an early age such as perseverance, excellence, self-awareness, as well as his less pleasant personal experiences, such as feeling lost, empty, and at times, hopelessness, all in attempt to educate the global community of the human race’s interconnectedness in hopes of a better tomorrow.

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
When I first moved to LA, I faced immense financial hardships, even ending up in a homeless shelter. Despite these challenges, I continued to focus on my music, using every setback as inspiration for my songs. Through perseverance and unwavering dedication, I overcame these struggles, eventually finding stability and success in my musical journey.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
I’m a sucker for a good song and thus I’m willing to collaborate with almost any and everybody, so long as the song and the person/people I’m working with are in alignment with our artistic vision and the intended reception and impact of the song.
Future Aspirations
Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
In the next year, I see my music leading to significant growth and tangible successes, aiming for more increase in my streaming numbers and social media following. I expect to double my merchandise sales and secure additional sponsorships, ultimately boosting my overall ROI. My goal is to grow both personally and professionally, using my music to inspire and resonate with a broader audience while achieving measurable financial and career milestones.
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
I plan to significantly increase the number of live performances in the coming months, allowing me to engage directly with fans and build a stronger presence in the music industry. To maximize ROI, I’ll be implementing targeted marketing campaigns, leveraging social media and streaming platforms, and exploring strategic partnerships. By expanding my reach and optimizing my promotional efforts, I aim to boost album sales, grow my fanbase, and increase overall revenue.
