What’s your stage name and where are you from?

My stage name is Pagu Kun and I am from Albacete, a city in Spain.

What’s the story behind your stage name?

Due to my family’s accent when pronouncing my name and a clear liking for Japanese culture

Describe your musical journey in three sentences.

Self-knowledge of the being, the healing of consciousness and the need for expression.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.

In the last few songs I’ve written, I’ve had the last line of the song figured out before I’ve finished it. So I’ve just directed the lyrics of the song towards that last line.

What message do you want to convey through your music?

I transmit critical thinking to society through human introspection.

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.

I remember one year, before opening the doors of an event I was organizing, the DJ told me that his laptop wouldn’t turn on, with all the people at the door waiting to get in. I ran home to get another laptop. It took me about 10 minutes to run, but we managed to start the event.

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

I think I would collaborate with some flamenco music artist, like El Junco, El Manzanita, Camarón, Israel Fernandez, etc.

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?

I wish I knew, hopefully at a greater level of mental peace than I have right now.

What’s the next big step for you as an artist?

I finished mastering my self-produced album, I feel that this album will be the beginning of many other self-produced works.
