What’s the story behind your stage name?

Exzenya is a name I created myself. Before becoming a full-time artist, I bred Savannah cats, and one of my most beautiful F2 cats embodied everything I wanted my public persona to hold — exotic presence, sleek elegance, and absolute fearlessness. The name Exzenya represents that energy: bold, untamed, and unapologetically expressive. It’s the artistic version of me that refuses to shrink.

Describe your musical journey in three sentences.

I’m a remote artist who has traveled extensively, and those experiences opened my eyes to the way people feel, communicate, and connect. With my background in psychology and communication, I naturally write from emotional truth — blending deep insight with real human stories. Music became the place where all of that comes together: storytelling, emotion, and the freedom to create without limits.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.

My latest track, Till I’m Drunk & Confused, came from a place of raw emotional overwhelm — the kind where clarity and chaos collide. The writing process pushed me to explore uncomfortable truths and express vulnerability without softening it. It was one of the most honest sessions I’ve had, and it helped shape the tone of the next phase of my album.

What message do you want to convey through your music?

I want my music to make people feel understood — whether they’re hurting, healing, laughing, or trying to figure themselves, or others, out. I write about the emotional and psychological layers people usually hide: the messy parts, the honest parts, and the parts that make us human. Every song is meant to meet someone exactly where they are.

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.

One challenge has been balancing the emotional intensity of my serious tracks with the sharper, satirical tone of others. Instead of trying to “fit” everything under one strict sound, I embraced the fact that human emotion is not one-dimensional. Allowing each song to be fully authentic — instead of trying to force uniformity — gave me freedom and brought the production to life.

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

Teddy Swims for his emotional depth and vocal honesty.

Pitbull for the energy, sensuality, and global movement he brings to music.

And Eminem — because of his unapologetic personality and the raw truth he brings to his storytelling.

Each of them represents a different side of what fuels my creativity.

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?

Since reaching the global milestone, I’m focusing on the next year which is about expanding deeper into new markets, building stronger momentum, and exploring opportunities in sync licensing and label partnerships — while still keeping full ownership of my work. I’m positioning myself for placements, wider visibility, and more strategic international reach.

What’s the next big step for you as an artist?

Releasing additional singles across multiple albums, refining my visual content, and continuing to expand across major platforms. I’m also preparing for more interviews, press, and long-form features to bring people into the world behind my music.
