My stage name is Crunch and I’m from Los Angeles California
What’s the story behind your stage name?
In elementary school all the rappers huddled up, and everybody started tryna figure out what name they were gonna have. One of the Rapper said I was thinking about naming myself Crunch, but he went another name. For me soon as I heard him say Crunch, off top, I said that’s me. I was glad he went with a different name, cause Crunch was for me
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
My Musical journey has been up and down. There’s been times things weren’t progressing like I hoped. I’ve been counted out already by a lot people
Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
An interesting experience I had while creating my latest track was, when I took a break from the studio and went to work out, a lot of the words came to me while I was in a zone running up a mountain. So I took out my phone, put the words in the notepad, and when I was done working out, went back to the studio and cooked.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
I want to convey the good and the bad parts about me and my life
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
I challenge I faced during production was coming to terms with being vulnerable and sharing my life experience, and that I had to overcome and overcome pretty quick.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
If I could collaborate with any artist, it would be Chris Brown, because Chris Brown is a talent, a true entertainer.
Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
In the next year I see my music taking me to major collaborations with major artist. Touring, sync licensing, regular radio rotation, endorsement deals, film, tv, commercials etc…
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
The next big step for me as an artist is to become a face and a name in the world of Hip Hop
