Caskie, a UK Hip-Hop artist from South East London, emerges from the shadows with a unique and energetic style. With a background as a session drummer and backing vocalist, Caskie’s journey in the music scene has been rich and diverse. Having contributed to various projects and released multiple works with his crew Dusty Stragglers, Caskie is now stepping into the solo spotlight with his debut EP, “Ways To Stay Broke.”
“ZOINKS!” is the latest single from Bad Batch & Caskie’s upcoming EP release, “Everybody’s On One,” scheduled for February 2024. This track showcases the synergy between Bad Batch’s unique production style and Caskie’s dynamic flow, subject matter, and energy. The single stands out within the EP with its aggressive, playful, and energetic vibe, living up to its title with 60’s “Scooby Doo” sounds seamlessly integrated by Bad Batch. DMC Champion DJ Rasp adds slick scratch patterns, while Captain Bukioe and Sylva Grey bring gritty lyricism and a unique mix of Hip-Hop and Grime influences, respectively. Caskie, aka Caveman, contributes metaphors and continuous flow patterns, describing the rapper’s journey as a failed space expedition and reflecting on mainstream artist perceptions.
