It’s Nyne May and I’m from THE Houston , TX.

What’s the story behind your stage name?

My real name is Neana Marie but it felt too soft, not at all like a rapper . A Glock 9 is sometimes called a Nina’s so I thought I’d was a cool play on words .

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.

I let a girl I was dealing with give a message to my future self . And we both loved it , felt raw and genuine . I usually don’t like recording with people around .

What message do you want to convey through your music?

Mm that feelings are meant to be expressed and if you got it like that you may as well use it. Get this money and make it look good . If I can do it so can you .

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.

Mixing . My goodness . I don’t even try anymore . Think you ruin a perfectly good song by not spending the necessary money to get it mixed and mastered properly . It’s hard to listen to . If who ever is reading this doesn’t believe me , go through my music , some songs sound off and some sound great . Can’t penny pinch with music .

Dead or alive ? Micheal Jackson , dead . Kendrick Lamar or Tyler the Creator , alive .

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?

A deal . Being known as a musician . An artist . I’ve done viral quite a few times and I want this year to show people ima rapper .

What’s the next big step for you as an artist?

Fearless , shameless hunger . Taking every opportunity. Using every chance , posting and creating a world for people who bless me with the ability to share my art with them .
