What’s your stage name and where are you from?
My stage name is ARIA.
What’s the story behind your stage name?
It’s actually my real birth name!
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
I’m still trying to figure it out. I keep bouncing between genres based on how I truly feel inside, so one day you might see me release a rap song, and the next day it might be pop rock. It’s probably not the best way to build a fan base, but I make music based on my feelings.
Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
So I was a little tipsy one night and started surfing the web. I found a beat on YouTube at midnight that I absolutely loved. Even though I hadn’t released rap in almost two years, I went for it, and “Breathe” was born!
What message do you want to convey through your music?
Don’t be defined by a specific genre. Do what feels right.
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
Figuring out how to release the track was tough. I’ve been working with a distributor on a specific genre for release, but I felt like I had to get “Breathe” out into the world. It took me a minute to find a label to release with, and I picked “Broke.”
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
Eminem! He is the reason that I started to make music.
Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
Hopefully, it will help me to continue to make a living. I’ve definitely made a lot of sacrifices to try to pursue my dreams in LA.
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
Fingers crossed, but one of my tracks is supposed to be used in a pretty big show that is coming in early 2025. Fingers crossed that it sticks.
We occasionally feature artists on our Bird of Paradise Podcast for in-depth discussions. Would this be something you’re interested in exploring?
Sure.
Are there any other promotional opportunities you’re looking for to boost your visibility?
Any opportunities are great.
Where can we hear/watch your most recent work?
Listen to my latest track.
What is the best way to contact you if fans want to give feedback or if other artists/producers want to collaborate?
