What’s the story behind your stage name?
I got shot and came back with a new life and I gave the music life (Asé)
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
It has been adventurous. Dreamlike. An experience I learned to appreciate through highs and lows.
Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
I was on fire in the booth at Quad Studios with Drag-On from the Ruff Ryders. He watched me freestyle my verse for my song Ask About Me. I made that crazy ass beat too.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
My story. My feelings. Hopefully we share emotions or backgrounds. Even if I made you dance or smile it’s a mission accomplished.
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
It was a point in time I couldn’t afford top quality studios so when I did get in there I averaged 5 songs an hour. I did the Asé album in one night in Houston Tx.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
I have songs written and ready for a lot of artist for the day we meet but if I had to choose It would be Boss Man Dlo. I have some crazy beats for him.
Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
I see myself being one of the richest and having one of the most influential stories of all time once people get to know me and what I been through.
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
To market myself as I expect a major label would.
