What’s your name and where are you from?
Cammy-Kun, I’m from the beautiful twin island of Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹
What’s the story behind your stage name?
This is gonna be a 3 part explanation. Cammy is short for my middle name which is Cameo. Now where did Kun came from? This all originated from a manga script I’m currently working on, just to be breif the main protagonist name is Cameo and he has an older brother that calls him Cammy & if this we’re translated in Japanese, he would be called Cammy-Kun. In Japan, there are a honorifics similar to Mr or Miss which are added to the name the only difference is that the honorifics are based on rank. The word Kun is basically is basically used to describe younger male or by someone who is more superior to you, whether its by age or work status. And finally if you translate the word Cammy spelt Kami in Japan, it translate to God who has become my biggest inspiration. In many of my songs, when I say Cammy-Kun is Awesome. It really means God is Awesome, which is my own little subliminal message as a tribute to him.
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
Very Challenging, long road, where there is no real certainty. But the reason for walking on this road is not because I want glory, but because being on that road finds me the most amount of joy.

Behind the Music
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
One of the problems I’ve faced is not being able to save a budget fast enough due to having more responsibilities as an adult. Ive overcame it by learning new skills while doing multiple jobs
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
One of my dream Colab, is with RM from BTS, not only hes one of my biggest inspirations but the majority of my artist development was through observing their journey.

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
My second tour. It’s going to be a new experience playing with a live band
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
Currently to take DIY to a while new level. Building my own website to make this possible
