My stage name is IamSnap and im an Australian Rapper / songwriter
What’s the story behind your stage name?
To be honest its because in high school i was super skinny and some dude called me snap and i hated it. I hated it so much so that i used it as my stage name as a big fuck you to the guy who called me it.
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
My journey has been relentless pain and knock backs My journey is peppered with heartache. My journey will never end.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
So my latest track is called “When The World Stops”. This song is majority singing, which i originally did myself, and it wasnt too bad, we were 100% using my vocal up until the 11th hour when an old friend of mine named Costie Payne crossed my path. Costie has got an amazing voice so i decided to run it by him, and the rest is history.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
I think deep down, i want people to know i exist.

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
I recall needing a female vocalist for a track back in 2012 because my voice wasnt cutting it, so i ran out the studio onto the street and asked every single girl i spotted if she could sing. I think it was like the 3rd girl that said she could, and the track ended up amazing.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
I used to have an answer for this. But these days i really dont care. I think it would be cool to write with someone like ed sheeran or bruno mars, but i dont have my heart set on it.
