What’s your stage name and where are you from?

I am Lovemeroommate from Downey California!

What’s the story behind your stage name?

Roommates are defined as people who share the same home, therefore we are all roommmates, and we all just want to be loved. Our roommates command love and I am here to provide it through my music.

Describe your musical journey in three sentences.

This journey has forced me to confront my pain, doubt, and fear—and transform them into purpose. Introspection has helped me better understand my emotions and identity. It has been a path of trial and error, and I’ve overcome adversity by openness to learn and adjust.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.

A cool moment on my latest track creation, was writing a verse at work as my coworkers got to see it grow from rough lines to a full track. It sparked a lot of support and even some unexpected feedback.

What message do you want to convey through your music?

I want people to feel understood, less alone, and inspired when they hear my music. Like someone out there really gets what they’re going through.

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.

A big challenge was trying to make music I thought people wanted to hear. I overcame that by shifting my focus to making music for myself and that’s what started resonating most with listeners.

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

I’d love to collaborate with Pity Party Girls Club. He has a mellow sound that I really connect with and I think we could create something timeless together. I’d be especially excited about the production—I feel like we’d vibe well, and that chemistry would shine through in the final track.

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?

In the next year, I see my music taking me to new cities, connecting with artists and listeners across the country, and expanding my reach.

What’s the next big step for you as an artist?

My next big step is completing my home studio. Once that’s set up, I’ll be able to create more music, drop it consistently, and build my fanbase organically.

Where can we hear/watch your most recent work?

My Instagram is the most up to date with everything I’ve got going on but you can find me @lovemeroommate across all platforms.
