What’s your stage name and where are you from?

I called myself Luka aka Nounejm and I am from Warsaw the capitol of Poland

What’s the story behind your stage name?

I started with „Luka” as my real name is Lucas but it occurred that there are a bunch of people with the same stage name around so as nobody knew me at that time I added this second part „Nounejm” which in my home language means simply a guy with no name.

Describe your musical journey in three sentences.

I started writing lyrics with attempts to rapping in the age of 15 somewhere in 1996-97 after my favourite rapper of all time 2Pac Shakur was shot. Since then I left music many times but I always come back because it was my greatest passion. I had an episode with some concerts in a small town and have issued some underground records with Vinyl even in 2013 but it was all in polish language, I started writing lyrics in English last year only and I really enjoy it!

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.

Few month ago my best friend told me that my song „Faith” is really fire but it misses female vocals on it. I really appreciate every comment which can make me a better artist, so I asked my wife if she knows someone who can sing. It occurred that our long time friend Ewa is singing for herself for years and that she has an amazing voice and her skills are on top now. I sent her my song and she loved it! We did this one track together and that’s how it started. Now we are doing 4th one already and there are more on their way. Destiny I believe 😉

What message do you want to convey through your music?

Be yourself and chase your dreams, but not money or fame or anything else world force you to have. Find what you always wanted as a child and go for it, even if it doesn’t make sense to anyone.

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.

The biggest challenge for me was always to hear my voice the way I feel it on the beat. It is not easy as every take has to be perfect and I have no easy going rap skills. I used to spend many long hours perfecting my voice tones and even now it takes hours to find what I am looking for in every track. But it’s worth it when you hear exactly what you meant.

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

I would give a kidney for a beat from Scott Storch, his productions are amazing and who knows what I could do on that high class beat. It would be very interesting process to me.

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?

I have no idea and that is great! I really don’t care, I just want to make music and be better at it.

What’s the next big step for you as an artist?

Make a pro videoclip to my upcoming track which is a storytelling rap. I really can’t wait when it will be ready, as I feel it’s a lever up for me.
