What’s your stage name and where are you from?
Hi, I’m Luke Ob and I’m from Poland.
What’s the story behind your stage name?
In the earlier years, I released my projects as Luke Oblatywacz, which was a funny reference to Luke Skywalker. Later, I shortened this form to a more international one, Luke Ob.
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
I have been making music since the mid-90s, mainly as a hobby. I don’t follow trends, I don’t do anything by force, I often experiment with different forms. For me, it’s primarily a form of relaxation.
Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
Usually at the mixing stage I have several, sometimes even a dozen or so versions of the final track. In the case of “Stay” everything worked on the first take.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
I always want my music to express some emotions, and each track to be an interesting story.
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
For me, the biggest challenge is the lack of time. Family, kids, work, everyday things and somewhere in that you have to squeeze in some time for an additional hobby.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
I’m always open to collaborations. If I had to name any artists, for Lo-Fi it would definitely be Sarent or L.Dre. I’d also be happy to collaborate with some creative instrumentalist.
Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
First of all, I would like my music to reach a much larger number of listeners. Maybe it will work out.
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
I think that’s an extra zero to my range:)
Where can we hear/watch your most recent work?
I currently don’t play live. My music can be found on all major streaming services. link: https://linktr.ee/lukeob
