What’s your stage name and where are you from?
My stage name is Pat Haass, and I’m from Dover, Delaware.
What’s the story behind your stage name?
It’s a shortened version of my birth name.
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
I fell in love with hip-hop in 2003. I began writing music in 2018 and released my first project It’s Probably Fine in July of 2023, followed by the sequel It’s More Than Fine in July of 2024.
Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
I’ve been working with a lot of younger artists from my city, so lately there’s been youthful energy in my music, which I’ve enjoyed finding naturally.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
Authenticity reigns supreme. Being true to yourself and finding strength in vulnerability is where real happiness lies.
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
During the recording process of my last album, my engineer’s computer crashed three days before the deadline. We had to re-record, mix, and master the entire album in just three days, but we got it done!
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
50 Cent is the reason I fell in love with hip-hop. Get Rich or Die Tryin’ wasn’t just an album title; it was a motto that inspired me to break generational curses in my family.
Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
In the next year, I see myself and my team paving the way and becoming the face of hip-hop, not only in my city but throughout my state.
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
My team and I are in the early stages of planning a three-day festival for fall 2025 to give local artists a platform to perform while generating donations for over 15 organizations!
We occasionally feature artists on our Bird of Paradise Podcast for in-depth discussions. Would this be something you’re interested in exploring?
Yes.
Are there any other promotional opportunities you’re looking for to boost your visibility?
Not currently.
Where can we hear/watch your most recent work?
My latest project It’s More Than Fine is available on all streaming platforms.
