What’s your stage name and where are you from?

What’s the story behind your stage name?

As a simpsons-themed lofi chill beats producer, I wanted something that references one of the most relaxing and chill scenes in the series – and slightly tweaking the name of Springfield’s only two-star health spa fitted well.

Describe your musical journey in three sentences.

Born, stumbled into guitar and bass, learnt music production at high school. Played in punk, ska, and reggae bands for decades. Tried my hand at electronic production and combined it with my lifetime love of The Simpsons.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.

I was struggling for good cover art for the album project and fortunate enough to have a lovely visual artist from the other side of the world called ‘Lisipieces’ offer an amazing piece of hers which fit the vibe perfectly. So cool to make connections like that.

What message do you want to convey through your music?

That you can’t spell ‘Relaxo’, without ‘Relax’.

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.

Juggling this project which is very much a labour of love alongside my pop-punk band LOST VESSELS, my day-job marketing keyboards and pianos, and co-producing beats for MISTA ED.

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

Probably DANKMUS, who is the king of Simpsons-inspired audiovisual memes!

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?

The bi-mon-sci-fi-con. Either that or the bottom of the Springfield gorge.

What’s the next big step for you as an artist?

You know those guitars that are like, double-guitars? I’d like one of them. Also to get played on KBBL.
