What’s the story behind your stage name?

Safron was my cat. She meant the world to me.

Describe your musical journey in three sentences.

Started guitar at 12. Taught music from 2005 to 2025. Started producing music at 40.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.

My last mixtape held my sanity together as I lost my mother to ALS my cat to cancer, and my marriage fell apart.

What message do you want to convey through your music?

No excuses. Fuck your feelings. Word hard at your passion. Enjoy life.

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.

Facing losses and lack of funding, you learn you can budget differently and hit goals. The sacrifices are worth it. Eat less, pay yourself more later.

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

Merkules. Trying to get my Canadian collab bucket list crossed off. Merk is top of my list.

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?

Get a mixtape finished, better than the first one. Get a major placement landed. Sell beats.

What’s the next big step for you as an artist?

A major placement, for sure.
