Known both in the Midwest and underground circuits because of his introspective lyricism, cosmic production and fearless experimentation, BdotJeff maintains his flow with the most recent drop: crew. The song recorded at home with her old friends Bela Peresta and Sara Smith who initially played with her in the band combines aspects of an alternative hip-hop, R&B, and musical influences of the Latin-inspired beats but with references to the emotional appeal that can be found in punk and metal. It is raw and polished with an undertone of nostalgia. In the chorus Bdot raps:
“Been a real one since a youngin’ on the swings”

The bandmates Peresta and Smith with whom they had chemistry are getting to learn each other still. What once began as informal projects has now evolved into an intimate unit that is not afraid of the mixture of the soulful and the abrasive, the vulnerable and the chaotic. These two have created a niche in which metal collides with rap, and the punk spirit explodes against sluggish R&B.
