Brother Mellstrum is a producer / Emcee from Chicago, Illinois Who wields the key to open the sheer fabric of the cosmos using sound. His musical background stems from playing the trumpet since 5th grade, concert band in high school, then marching band in college.
This enables him to create an instrumental sound that has jazzy horns, spooky and organic riffs, with head banging drums. Inspired by Chicago’s very own Reg Vader, Hanging around in the basement he picked up music production on the Emu/Emax, then the Mpc 3000.
Lyrically, he was inspired by T-Flux from East of the Rock who allowed his former group Infrablak to tour and open up performances for them.
