In 2025, HP has been at the forefront of fostering innovation and inclusivity among young tech enthusiasts through a series of impactful events. Collaborating with industry leaders and educational institutions, HP’s initiatives have provided students with unparalleled opportunities to engage with technology, gain mentorship, and envision their future in the tech industry.

One notable event was the HP x NVIDIA-sponsored “Chinatown Hacks,” an AI-focused hackathon exclusively for high school students. Held at the University of San Francisco’s Downtown Campus on March 15-16, this event aimed to empower students to develop practical solutions for real-world challenges in San Francisco’s Chinatown community. Participants received guidance from seasoned engineers and AI experts, encouraging them to explore AI and its applications for social good.

In addition to hackathons, HP facilitated a worksite visit for seventeen software engineering and business students from San Jose State University. Organized in collaboration with the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and the HP Black Employee Resource Group, students toured the historic HP garage and the HP Customer Welcome Center. This visit provided insights into HP’s technological advancements and offered students mentorship opportunities with HP professionals.

These initiatives underscore HP’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of innovators by providing them with the tools, mentorship, and experiences necessary to succeed in the ever-evolving tech landscape.
