Loose Voltage – “Swim Good” (Original Single)

64

The members of Loose Voltage are used to feeling pain and staying strong. Even though “Monarch” from 2024 carries the weight of his tribute to his late wife, the Georgia-based artist now focuses on a more melodic and calm sound. Rather than letting listeners forget their worries, this new song offers clarity, sung in soft tones, as the artist talks about change in a bruised voice.

The main idea of the song is captured by its title; it tells us to stay strong no matter what difficulties we face. Loose Voltage effortlessly combines his lyrical gift with melodies that sound nostalgic yet are fresh. He shows influences from Bryson Tiller and Lil Wayne but never tries to copy. The beats straighten and spirit, but you can sense emotions in each rap as the artist wrestles with them. Because they say what they feel, Loose Voltage stands above artists with similar music styles.

Recorded at CMND CNTRL Studios, this tune shows that PJ Harvey is reinventing her sound. This serves as the beginning of a completely new chapter in my life. No longer is Monarch’s somber tone present; instead, Posey has emerged with a new version of herself. Even though “Swim Good” continues to remix sounds from before, Loose Voltage finds a way to turn sadness and sorrow into something shiny and catchy.

The quality in a track comes from how easy and emotional it is to relate to, not only its music or its easy-to-sing lyrics. No matter if you’re facing big problems or have to deal with everyday struggles, the way Carly and Biff tell these stories is easy to relate to. The use of autotune makes his music flow smoothly, so that you can feel his pain as the melody stays clean and polished.
