When hip-hop gets gritty, do you want polished punchlines—or something that sounds like it came straight from the underground?
Built around a sound described as rooted in classic boom-bap and hardcore hip-hop, “Put Em” arrives with its priorities pointed toward raw energy rather than polished pop crossover. The Bermuda’s lineup brings together two lyricists, Ivy the Giant and MaddHatter, with DJ CFour handling the turntables. That combination puts MC-driven performance and DJ culture at the center of the group’s identity.
And that matters. Hip-hop has always had room for records that prioritize presence over prettiness, where the attitude is part of the instrumentation and the groove does as much talking as the bars. The Bermuda’s stated musical direction taps into that tradition without needing to dress it up in nostalgia.
