What happens when hip-hop stops chasing the light and starts making peace with the monsters?
There’s something deliciously unsettling about a rap record called Vampire Hunter D. Not because vampires are suddenly having a cultural moment, or because horror and hip-hop have never crossed paths before. It’s because the title immediately suggests a world where survival is a philosophy, darkness has texture, and the person walking into the night might be more complicated than whatever’s waiting there.
That’s an intriguing place to begin with The1FS.
