What’s the story behind your stage name?
Inspired by the Vietnamese monk Thich Nhat Hang who burned himself alive in protest. The metaphor and dedication of his actions was something I could relate to.
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
Both my parents were DJs. I used to play on pots and pans and was on drum machines from the age of 5. I wrote my first rap at age 8.
Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
During the music video shoot for my latest single, I set my hand on fire about 5 times.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
There is light after darkness.
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
I have tried to start many collectives and be involved in many groups and dealing with the dynamics of relationships in music behind the scenes has been one of the most difficult aspects of the process.
