Coosa Lee, and I’m from Gadsden, Alabama.
What’s the story behind your stage name?
I’m named after the river that runs through my hometown, Gadsden.

Blue Collar Approach. Never saw another option. Always focused on the music.
Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
The last song I released, “Impulse,” is the first song I engineered and produced myself.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
Despite the age of technology we live in, we can still tell stories about real-life experiences and struggles that people can relate to. I want to push people to go beyond any boundaries or imaginary hurdles they have set in their minds.
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
I would never finish a song until I decided to force myself into the studio every day for 1 1/2 years. I then was able to create everything the world is about to hear.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
Nelly. He was the main influence I had as a child.
Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
I don’t try to worry about the destination. God will take me where I need to be.
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
Touring. I’m ready to start putting my nose to the grindstone and do it the grassroots way.
